Our goal was to evaluate a representative sample of the product offerings and to be sure that at least some of them permitted the kind of remote monitoring required for VRC, even if such products lacked other desirable features.
Readers should not infer endorsement from our decision to test these specific products. Independent ratings of these sorts of products is not widely available, and with the large numbers to choose from, it was not practical to purchase and test every one of them.
